Summer is here for the children at Westfalia and school is out. Among the activities we have planned are swimming lessons at a local pool, a visit to the beach in Lima for the older children (most have never seen one), English lessons with new books and materials. All of this is possible thanks to the generous donations from British Expats. We are able to pay for the swimming lessons (including floating kick-boards to teach the younger children to use their legs in the pool) as well as for the use of a 35 passenger bus to take the older children the 60 miles or so to the beach. We will purchase new English language lesson books for summer classes. We will certainly take many photos of their experiences. Heartfelt thanks to those generous British Expats. It promises to be a great summer experience for all of the children, thanks to you.
